A Break from Exhaustion

In my last post I talked about how mentally straining becoming a lawyer is.  I didn’t think it would be this hard.  I knew that going to law school would be difficult.  I didn’t think it would be a walk in the park.  I mean, I knew it was going to be a challenge…

Anyways, I needed to take some “Me” time and recharge.  (Boy, I sound like a little girl) But, it’s the truth; I needed to recharge and bad.  Most guys my age are hitting the local gym and pumping some iron.  Others are joining the Crossfit Cults and dropping weights.  I prefer getting my MMA on with some serious Martial Arts.

Throughout College I never stepped foot in a gym.  Instead I focused on bettering myself through Karate and Mixed Martial Arts.  Fighting for me is a huge stress reliever.  I don’t fight competitively or want to join the next taekwondo competition, but it’s a great thing to do when you need a break from a hectic week.  I decided to take it down a notch this time around and join a friendlier dojo to take some Martial Arts Classes.  I joined a family friendly martial arts school with a variety of class times and options.  Practicing karate at the school really helped to take my mind off of work, but more so helped me fine tune my kicks, punches and take downs.  I couldn’t have found a better way to recharge my body & mind then to take a couple quality Karate Classes.
